Scalp botox or as we hear so often in recent years “Hair botox”, is a topic that can cause a lot of misunderstanding. Apart from hair/scalp botox applied in clinics, hair botox is also called keratin care in hairdresser, which does not contain botox, which is not a needle procedure and just provides long-term straightening of hair. The purpose of medical hair/scalp botox, which is applied as a doctor application in clinics, is to relieve thinned and tightened scalp and increase blood circulation. Increasing blood circulation nourishes and oxygenates the hair follicles better. Thus, thinned and lifeless hair strands become thicker and brighter. In fact, dormant hair follicles that have stopped producing hair can start to produce hair strands again. In hair botox, cocktails that will nourish the hair are combined with a certain dose of botox and injected by an experienced physician. Most of the time, a single session is enough.
